Kervan Gıda Announces Second Production Line at MCC in Egypt, Consolidated Capacity Reaches 131,410 Tons, Projected 27 Million USD Contribution to African Market in 2025

Kervan Gıda has announced to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that its subsidiary MCC in Egypt has commissioned a second production line, bringing the regional production capacity to 10,000 tons per year. With these investments, the company’s total production capacity increased by 15% compared to two months ago, reaching a consolidated annual capacity of 131,410 tons. Kervan Gıda’s investments in Egypt are expected to contribute approximately 27 million USD to the African market in 2025.

Commenting on the strategic investments in Egypt, Kervan Gıda General Manager Idris Can noted that the company has strengthened its export network and achieved a 15% increase in total production capacity over the past two months. He added that following the acquisition of ZPC Otmuchów S.A. and PWC Odra S.A. in Poland in 2021 to boost its European presence, Kervan Gıda continues to expand strategically in the Middle East and Africa.

“Consolidated Capacity Reaches 131,410 Tons”

As a company generating approximately 80% of its sales in foreign currency, Kervan Gıda strives to align its production capacity with sales growth. Idris Can explained: "To strengthen our strategic goals in the Middle East and Africa, we decided to establish a new production facility in Egypt, one of Africa’s key markets, as of July 2023. The MCC facility in the 10th of Ramadan area near Cairo initially started a licorice line with an annual capacity of 2,500 tons in January 2024. Additionally, during the relocation of our Istanbul production facility to Manisa, a jelly line with a 7,500-ton annual capacity was transferred to Egypt. This line became operational on August 12, 2024. With the commissioning of the new production line, our consolidated production capacity increased from 123,910 tons to 131,410 tons annually. We expect our investments in Egypt to contribute approximately 27 million USD to our projections for the African market throughout 2025."
