Kervan Gıda has acquired Dryff Dehydrated Foods Industry Inc. (Dryff), located in İzmir-Tire the OSB.

According to the company’s statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the acquisition involves 100 percent of Dryff’s shares, with a total nominal value of 2.5 million TRY. This move aligns with Kervan Gıda’s strategy to increase product variety and invest in high-value products using freeze-drying technology.

Share transfer agreements for the transaction have been signed. The total value of the shares has been determined as 505,583 Euros. Most of the payment (approximately 481,000 Euros) will be made in 24 installments, with the remaining portion scheduled for April 15, 2024.

The statement provides further details:

“Dryff operates in the freeze-drying sector, one of the most advanced drying technologies in the dehydrated food industry, and primarily processes products such as fruits, vegetables, and cheese. For Kervan Gıda, the acquisition of Dryff is considered an innovative, strategic, and high-value investment. Some of the products in our main business areas, such as jelly and licorice, will be dried at Dryff before being marketed. Freeze-dried jelly products have already started appearing on store shelves in major global markets. When compared to standard jelly products, the sale price per kilogram demonstrates the higher added value of these products. Our company will continue to invest in innovative, high-value products within its categories in the future.”
